Lee Batchler

Lee Batchler and Janet Scott Batchler are the writers of POMPEII, SMOKE AND MIRRORS, and BATMAN FOREVER, among many other projects. In addition, Janet is a writing professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. The Batchlers are currently writing MIDNIGHT RIDE for Infinitum Nihil and Walt Disney Pictures, for Johnny Depp to star as Paul Revere. MIDNIGHT RIDE tells the story of 24 hours that changed the world: Paul Revere’s famous overnight adventure that resulted in the beginnings of America’s Revolutionary War.

The Batchlers are in high demand as guest speakers and teachers. Janet is on the Faculty of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she teaches screenwriting to graduate and undergrad students, and has pioneered classes in Collaboration and Adaptation. Lee and Janet have taught seminars on writing and on the industry in general for UCLA, The Damah Film Festival, UC San Diego, Women in Film, the Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, Act One, Biola University, and others. The Batchlers live in Sherman Oaks, California with their son Corin (the future rock star), and their daughter Sabrina (the future Broadway star).
